Screenings: Labouring Creativity | 创意劳动工作坊放映会
随着创意城市，创意经济，创意阶层等等论述的出现，关于创意劳动的探讨也越来越多，我们的工作坊除了邀请学者报告研究成果之外，同时筹办了两场放映会，聚焦创意劳动两个较少被探讨的议题：他们的流动与创作。《异城心照》记录了12 位香港文化人北上的历程。《潮爆北京》在半真半假之间寻找或说创建一座旧城。
Labouring creativity in the global context: cultural work in Asia and beyond
While our times have experienced a “creative” turn, academic explorations as well as policy directives surrounding creative cities, creative economies, creative class and so forth abound. In conjunction with a workshop we organize on creative labour, you are invited to two screenings that probe two relatively understudied aspects of creative labour: on their mobility and creative output. One film documents experiences of 12 creative workers who moved and were moved in the process; the other is one creative worker’s attempt to move an old city through memories and imagination.

「走，还是不走？」过去十年，自己也是文化人的周耀辉见证著身边不少文化人选择北上，也许，是时候再一次提问，问题从学术的角度出发， 在2014-2015年进行了相关的研究项目，同时邀请了当时驻北京的卢燕珊拍摄纪录。片中，周耀辉访问了十二位在北京及上海工作生活的香港人——从「中国三部曲」小说家陈冠中到北京大学读电影的九十后。一次自我反照旅程，关乎重索他者文化身份、勇闻新世界创作机遇与局限、文化工作者之底线与使命感。

Mirror from heterotopia: 12 Hong Kong creative workers in Beijing / Shanghai
“To go, or not to go?” In the past decade, creative writer and academic worker Chow Yiu Fai has witnessed a northbound movement of many fellow cultural practitioners, and maybe, it’s the time to ask this question again. In this documentation of an academic research project during 2014-2015, Chow interviews twelve Beijing/Shanghai-based Hongkongers – from the well-known novelist Chan Koon Chung who wrote the “China Trilogy” to a post-90s film student from Peking University. A self-reflective journey on (re-)searching cultural identity of the otherness, multi-opportunities and limitation of creative experiences in the brave new world, also, basic ethics and mission of professionalism in cultural industry. Stories for a better tomorrow.
Director Lo Yin Shan is, in her own words, an “ex-teleporter between Hong Kong and Beijing”.

《潮爆北京》
Beijing Is Coming

那是2008年。一个阔别北京四十年的老人，在北京重寻记忆。一个北京长大、八○后小伙子小军，嚷着要离开北京。哄哄闹闹的奥运来了又去，老人找不到印象中的北京；年轻人要在北京开拍一部不可能的纪录片，寻访传说中的传奇人物后海皇帝。小军带我们混进时尚派对、画廊、胡同、四合院、地下音乐会，穿插不同阶层路人对北京的自白，各个当时崛地而起的建筑地标，片片正在被清拆的胡同，拼合出当下新北京众生相。电影摄制于2008年北京奥运期间，现场记录了其时北京的街道风景、人群流动，以至将真实的马拉松比赛场景融进剧情之中。作品既是假纪录，也是真虚构。
李照兴，香港文化评论人、影评人、作家。2004至2006年居广州、2007至2008年居上海，2008年夏天移居北京至2012年，现于上海从事杂志出版及个人创作，经常往返北京、上海、广州及香港各城。近年尤关注中国城市观察，书写与拍摄，追捕中国最新潮流脉搏。曾出版评论集《香港后摩登》、主编《香港101：爱恨香港的101个理由》、《经典200：最佳华语电影二百部》、《上海101：寻找上海的101个理由》、《王家卫的映画世界》等书。有关中国城市文化作品有《潮爆中国》、《燃后中国》、电影《潮爆北京》。
在超过14年的中国城市游走及创作过程中，李照兴借助媒体工作的经验，把自己放到城市发展记录的最前线，在杂志出版中曾策划多个报道城市新现象的选题，开拓城市观察的新方向。此外不断进行有关城市文化的独立评论及创作，十多年来中国日新月异的城市化进程成为不可多得的机遇与创作元素。
A mockumentry on the virtual history of a city. An old man comes back to Beijing after 40 years in search of memories. A young girl who yearns to leave. A young man who decides to make an unattainable documentary in Beijing about the legend of a lost king. While the bricks of the old alley get removed one by one, a new CCTV landmark building is about to be completed. Where are the city and the memories heading for after the gigantic black hole of the new building is created? Shot on location during the 2008 Beijing Olympics, it is a real fiction and fake documentary recording the city life and cityscape of that particular period.
Director Bono Lee is cultural critic and writer. Since 2004, he has moved between Hong Kong, Guangzhou, Shanghai and Beijing.
